Red sander is an endemic species confined to Southern parts of Eastern Ghats of India specially in Andhra Pradesh. It is a moderate-sized deciduous tree, grows uo to a height of 30 – 40 ft. The plant is renowned for its characteristic timber of exquisite color, beauty, and superlative technical qualities.
