Custard apple aslo known by Sitaphal, Sugar apple and Shariffa is one of the most delicious fruit mainly consumed fresh. It a is a semi-evergreen shrub or small tree,with the height ranging from 5 to 9 m. In India, it is extensively cultivated in various states Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.
