Description
Amla has an important position in Ayurveda- an Indian indigenous system of medicine. It is the medium size deciduous plant. It grows to the height of 26 – 60 feet. It is common all over tropical and sub-tropical India, commercially cultivated in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is also grown in Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
