Sapota is one of the well-known dessert fruits, commonly known as chikoo or sapodilla. it is an evergreen hardy tropical fruit crop with a milky juice, grows up to 30-40 feet. In India, the leading states in the production of sapota are Karnataka, Gujrat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh.
