Planting is done during July-August with a spacing of 18ftx18ft. Irrigate the plants initially for establishment
Spherical in shape, light red in color, smooth, and hard on appearance, with six vertical stripes.
Amla tree starts bearing after 2 years of planting. The fruits are harvested during February when they become dull green from light red. The mature fruits are hard and they do not fall at gentle touch and therefore vigorous shaking is required.
