All spice is a small evergreen tree, reaching up to 10-m (15–30 ft) high. Allspice has a pungent but warm aroma which is reminiscent of a combination of clove, nutmeg, pepper, and cinnamon. In India, it is mainly grown in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
